Meet Our Founders
Featured here with the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend, His Excellency Kevin Rhoades, are John Becker and Ben Becker, founders of the Medicare for Catholics initiative. This father and son team owns Advocate Financial, a national Medicare Advisory service.
John and Ben are active members of 1891 Financial and are 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and both were endorsed by Bishop Kevin Rhoades to be members of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. In his parish, Ben established a local chapter of the Troops of St. George, a Catholic Scouting program. Together the Beckers have also raised millions of dollars to educate Catholic Seminarians through Worldwide Seminarian Support, a nonprofit organization founded by the family.
John and his wife Patty are greatly blessed by their first son, Ben, with his wife Kristi, being parents to 4 sons and 5 daughters. Their second son Robert is a seminarian with The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter at Our Lady of Guadalupe seminary in Denton, Nebraska. Robert is on the path to be ordained in May 2027; please keep him and all seminarians in your prayers. Their two beautiful adult daughters are both happily married to outstanding Catholic gentlemen, raising an additional 5 grandsons.
